31 deported from India so far

Bhopal (MP) – In view of a possible terrorist threat on Republic Day, the Madhya Pradesh Police have launched an extensive statewide drive against infiltrators residing illegally in the State. As part of this special operation, the identities of 3,278 suspected Bangladeshi nationals have been established so far. Following rigorous verification of intelligence inputs and documents, 31 infiltrators have been deported to Bangladesh. Security agencies are on high alert in the wake of intelligence inputs related to Khalistani and Bangladeshi terrorists.
Maximum action in Dhar district
The operation has yielded the most significant results in Dhar district, from where 13 Bangladeshi nationals have been deported. Ten infiltrators have been expelled from Gwalior, three from Jabalpur, and several others from major cities such as Bhopal and Indore.
According to official data, a total of 6,840 refugee- families are currently residing across five districts of Madhya Pradesh—Betul, Panna, Mandsaur, Indore, and Dewas. Of these, 5,669 families are concentrated in Betul district alone. At present the Police are verifying citizenship of other suspects who have fake documents and are hiding. The scrutiny will not spare elements which can be a threat to national security.
Editorial PerspectiveGiven the sheer scale of infiltration, the detection of only this number leaves little doubt that many infiltrators may have already managed to obtain documents establishing Indian citizenship. It clearly underscores urgent need for a far more comprehensive and in-depth investigation. |
