Thane – School bus driver Imran Mohammad Patel inhumanly abused a 4-year-old girl in the Badlapur (West) area. After this, the Kalyan Regional Transport Office (RTO) has taken action against the bus driver concerned. Investigation revealed that the students were being transported in this vehicle without a valid permit. Hence, the Kalyan RTO cancelled the vehicle’s license and imposed a fine of Rs 24,000. The accused was produced in the Court and remanded in Police custody till January 27th. Minister of State for Home Pankaj Bhoyar assure that strictest action will be taken against the accused.
The victim girl returned home late on the concerned day after school. She was very scared. After taking her into confidence, she informed about the act the driver had done to her. The parents first went to the headmaster; but she sided with the driver. Therefore, the parents filed a complaint with the Police. The Police have arrested the accused driver.
After this incident, women activists of the NCP Ajit Pawar faction went to the Police station and tried to vandalize the school vehicle. They demanded strict action against the illegal school vehicles.
In a similar incident in Badlapur, accused Akshay Shinde had sexually assaulted a minor girl and died in self-defence firing by the Police.
