In the next elections, Mumbra will be covered in green and they (Hindus) will be driven away

 

Mumbra (Thane district) – Newly elected corporator Sahar Sheikh, who won from Ward No 30 in Mumbra, has issued an open threat stating that Hindus will be driven out of Mumbra and the town will be completely “painted green”. She made this statement while addressing a public programme.

Sahar Sheikh said that in the next municipal elections to be held after five years, the party aims to achieve even greater success than in the 2026 municipal elections. She added that they would give a “befitting reply” to Hindus. She further declared that after five years, every winning candidate in Mumbra would belong only to AIMIM (Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen). She openly threatened that Mumbra would be turned completely green and Hindus would be driven out in a humiliating manner.

From the same ward, AIMIM candidates Nafis Ansari, Sheikh Sultana Abdul Mannan and Dongre Shoaib Farid have also been elected.

• Will action be taken against Sahar Sheikh for violating democratic values by using language of expulsion and for endangering social harmony ?

• If such a corporator is already making hateful statements, it is better not to even imagine how she will function in matters concerning people of other religions in the future.
