Breakdown in EVM machine in Pune : machine is 4 minutes fast if the light on the machine doesn’t get on

A snag in EVM machine has created suspicion about the elections, accused NCP’s Sharadchandra Pawar faction’s senior leader Ankush Kakade. He also accused that the officers on the polling booths didn’t give satisfactory answers. In a multi-member division system, vote is to be given to four candidates. After casting vote for three candidates, the light on the machine did not get on when vote was cast for the fourth time; therefore, it was not clear whether the vote for the fourth candidate was registered. The time on the machine was fast by 14 minutes as at 7.30, the time shown on the machine was 7.44.
