Mamata Banerjee accused the Union Government of crushing democracy. She said that the Union Government was trying to intimidate the Opposition by misusing investigating agencies. “This is an attempt to strangle democracy. The Union Home Ministry and investigating agencies have forgotten their responsibility towards the nation. I had prior information about such action. Therefore, all important party-related data and hard disks were already secured. We will not be afraid of this political conspiracy,” she said.
This action has been taken in connection with the fake government job appointment letter scam, as well as the coal scam-related money laundering case.
