Kolkata (Bengal) – The aim of the RSS is to unite the Hindu community. It is not against anyone. If you are exercising, it does not mean that you are planning to attack anyone, you are only keeping yourself healthy, said H.H. Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat here. He was speaking at a programme organized to mark the 100th anniversary of the RSS. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had recently said in Germany that ‘the RSS chief is openly saying that power is important, not truth.’ Reportedly, H.H. Bhagwat made the above statement in that context.
Points presented by H.H. Sarsanghchalak,
1. The Sangh was formed to train the Indian society so that India can once again become the ‘Vishwaguru’. The Sangh was not formed with any political motive, anger or competitive spirit.
2. The Sangh was founded for the organization, progress and security of the Hindu community, as well as to preserve the values and character of India. ‘India is not just a geography, it is a tradition and a way of life’, was the motive behind the founding of the Sangh.
3. There is no other organization like the Sangh. Comparing it to anything else would create misunderstanding. Calling Sangh a paramilitary force as we march wearing uniform would be wrong.
4. Whatever happens in this country, good or bad, those who do not consider themselves Hindus are rarely asked questions; but those who proudly call themselves Hindus are always asked, ‘What have you done for the country ?’ Hindus have always considered themselves responsible for this country.
Don’t try to see the Sangh from the BJP’s perspective
Do not try to look at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from the perspective of the BJP. Many people have the tendency to understand the Sangh through the BJP. This would be a big mistake. If you want to understand the Sangh, you have to look at the Sangh itself. You cannot understand the Sangh just by looking at it from outside, you have to experience it, said the Sarsanghchalak.
