Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – Flag-hoisting ceremony will be held in Shriram Mandir in Ayodhya on 25.11.2025. It is going to be a special occasion since such ceremony will be held for the first time in Shriram Mandir. The ‘Ramajanmabhoomi Nyas’ and District Administration are working hard to make this a memorable ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief Guest of this programme. Eminent personalities from India and various countries have been invited for this special programme. Special invitations have been extended to ten thousand people from the State of Uttar Pradesh.
Spiritual significance of flag-hoisting
Flag-hoisting has great significance in Hindu Dharma. The flag hoisted on a temple indicates the presence of the respective Deity as per Garuda Purana. A flag on a temple is considered as a symbol of the greatness, power of the Deity and protection for devotees.
Shobha-Yatra’ with ‘Kalash’ in River Sharayu
Various religious ceremonies have been started prior to the ceremony. A grand ‘Shobha-Yatra’ was taken out with 501 ‘Kalash’ from Sant Tulsidas Ghat on River Sharayu. Young students from Maharshi Vasishtha Veda Vidyalaya, Karsevakpuram, and different ‘Gurukul’ participated in the ‘Shobha-Yatra’.
Grand Flag-hoisting CeremonyOn 25.11.2025, on the auspicious occasion between 11.55 a.m. and 12.10 p.m., PM Modi and RSS ‘Sarsanghchalak’ H. H. (Dr) Mohan Bhagawat will install the ‘Dharma-Dhvaj’. It will be hoisted and will unfurl within ten seconds after the remote-control button is pressed. |
Form of the divine ‘Dharma-Dhvaj’‘Dharma-Dhvaj’ is saffron in colour with symbols of the ‘Surya-Vansh’. Bell will ring in many muth-temples across the country and in the houses of the followers of Sanatan Dharma as soon as the flag is hoisted. A 42 ft pillar has been installed over the 161 ft dome apex of Shriram Mandir. The flag which is 22 ft long and 11 ft broad, will be tied on this pillar. People will be able to see this flag even from a distance of four kms. An Automatic flag hoisting system will be applied for the purpose. The same system will be used even in future. The flag can move in 360 degrees when wind is strong. Shriram devotees from India and abroad will be able to watch the live telecast of this ceremony. |
