Evil deed of anti-social elements in Bengaluru (Karnataka)

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – In a shocking incident, social miscreants brought a JCB in the middle of the night and demolished the Shri Anjaneya Swami temple in Nandagudi village of Hoskote taluka in Bengaluru Rural district, simply because it stood in the way of constructing a liquor shop.
For the past few days, a group had submitted an application seeking permission to build a liquor shop; however, the temple stands close to the land where the shop was proposed. For this reason, the temple committee had submitted a request to the Excise Department urging that permission not be granted.
It is due to this objection, locals allege, that the temple was deliberately demolished. Villagers discovered the demolished temple in the morning, following which they informed the Nandagudi Police. The Police have begun an investigation.
