The decision of the school in Karkala (Karnataka)

Udupi (Karnataka) – Madarasha Makandar, a Muslim teacher who removed the sacred threads of students, has been dismissed from his job. The incident took place on November 17 at a residential Miyyaroo moraraji Desai school, in Karkala taluka of Udupi district, where Madarasha was working as a physical training teacher. He was appointed as a guest teacher in June.
The students and parents alleged that the Madarasha Makandar used to punish Hindu students by forcing them to take out 200 sit-ups and asking them to remove the sacred thread and religious thread tied on their wrists in a manner that hurt religious sentiments.
After the children’s complaint, the parents and villagers came to the school and severely reprimanded the teacher. Makandar did not rectify his behaviour despite repeated warnings. The headmaster dismissed Makandar from his job.
