“In Islam, committing suicide is not martyrdom, but a sin !” : Says Asaduddin Owaisi

Asaduddin Owaisi responds to Dr Umar’s conspiracy

Terrorists Dr. Umar Muhammad and Asaduddin Owaisi

New Delhi – A video recorded by terrorist Dr Umar Mohammad, who carried out the suicide attack near the Red Fort, has surfaced. He had filmed this video two months before the blast. In it, he attempts to portray a suicide attacker as a ‘martyr’. He claimed that suicide missions are a ‘martyrdom campaign’ in Islam.

AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) president Asaduddin Owaisi has countered these statements made by terrorist Umar. Owaisi said that Islam does not consider a person who commits suicide to be a ‘martyr’; rather, such an act is regarded as a sin. He also clarified that killing innocent people is considered a grave sin in Islam. Supporting such acts amounts to opposing the law of the land. These are nothing but terrorist acts.

Owaisi further said that during ‘Operation Sindur’ and ‘Operation Mahadev’, Home Minister Amit Shah informed Parliament that no local Kashmiri had joined any terrorist organisation in the past six months. If no one joined these groups, then where did this terrorist module come from? Who is responsible for failing to uncover this ?

Editorial Perspective

From where do Muslims receive teachings that call for killing ‘kafirs’, committing atrocities against their women and declaring jihad ? It is precisely the belief that “such acts lead to paradise” that drives Muslims towards suicide attacks. Who will believe Owaisi’s statements ?
