Kolhapur (Maharashtra) – At Yevale’s Milk Corner in Kolhapur, devout Hindus noticed that Mentos candies bearing Halal certification and imported from Indonesia, were being sold. They immediately met the shopkeeper and explained how the Halal certification can be harmful to Indians and how the funds earned through it are used for supporting Jihadi terrorism. After this awareness, the shopkeeper removed all the Mentos products and assured that he will not sell any items with Halal certification.

Mr Shivanand Swami of HJS appealed that other patriotic shopkeepers too should be inspired by the owner of Yevale’s Milk Corner, and boycott Halal products sold from their shops.
