Namaz offering not to be allowed without permission : CM Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, 23rd October – Shaniwar Wada is a State-protected monument; therefore, permission from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is necessary for conducting any activity at that place. Namaz offering will, therefore, not be allowed in Shaniwar Wada without permission, stated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while speaking to reporters during an informal discussion at his residence, Varsha, on 22 October 2025, when he was asked about his opinion on the case filed for offering Namaz at Shaniwar Wada.

When asked about Bangladeshi infiltrators in Mumbai, CM Fadnavis replied that there are still Bangladeshi infiltrators in Mumbai and a search operation is ongoing. Regarding the objection raised by opposition parties on the voters’ list, he said that it was taken as it is for the election of Swarajya Sanstha. However, the shortcomings in the voters’ list need to be rectified. Mahayuti will benefit from the removal of maximum discrepancies. Mahavikas Aghadi has pointed out a few faults in the voters’ list. Within a few days, we will submit the voters’ list to the Election Commission. In that list, there is a candidate of Mahavikas Aghadi contesting from one constituency whose photos, in four different forms, have been registered.
