We don’t want the votes of the ungrateful !

Statement by BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh about fanatic Muslims

Union Minister Giriraj Singh

Patliputra (Bihar) – “What do you call someone who shows no gratitude for the help they receive ? A traitor (namak haram) ! Maulvi sahib, we do not want the votes of such ungrateful people,” said Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh while addressing an election rally in Arwal. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present at the event.

Giriraj Singh said, “I asked some maulvis, ‘Did you get the Ayushman card (the Union Government’s medical benefit card)?’ They said, ‘Yes, we did.’ I asked, ‘Was there any discrimination between Hindus and Muslims ?’ They said, ‘No.’ Then I asked, ‘Good — did you vote for us ?’ They replied, ‘We did.’ I said, ‘Swear by Allah and say it.’ They admitted, ‘No, we didn’t.’ (Lying maulvis ! – Editor) So I told them, ‘We don’t need the votes of the ungrateful.’”

Nitish Kumar’s party condemns the remark

Giriraj Singh’s statement drew disapproval from the allied party, Janata Dal (United). Party spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, who was present at the rally, said Singh’s comments contradicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”. (It should be noted that the BJP has now stopped making such proclamations ! – Editor) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said he has always worked not merely for Muslim votes but for inclusiveness. (If he receives the ‘fruit’ of that in the upcoming elections, will that be surprising ? – Editor)

“Dismiss Giriraj Singh from the Cabinet” – RJD

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal demanded the immediate dismissal of Giriraj Singh. Party spokesperson Subodh Kumar Mehta said, “People like Giriraj Singh should be removed from the Cabinet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi — but he won’t, because BJP’s politics thrives on hatred. Such individuals make inflammatory statements to polarise votes.” (Those who indulge in caste-based politics and corruption making such allegations against others is truly laughable ! – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

It is well known that fanatic Muslims neither vote for the BJP nor will they ever do so. Hence, Hindus believe the BJP should instead focus on substantial work for the Hindu community !
