In his post, Yusuf Pathan wrote –
“The Adina Mosque was built in the 14th century by Sultan Sikandar Shah, the second ruler of the Ilyas Shahi dynasty. Constructed between 1373 and 1375, it was the largest mosque in the Indian subcontinent at the time and stood as a symbol of the architectural grandeur of the region.”
After his post, many users on social media claimed that the structure Pathan referred to as a mosque was built over a temple. Some supported this claim by citing historical evidence, while others completely dismissed the assertion that it was once the Adinath Temple.
Editorial PerspectiveUnion government must now order an inquiry into all the mosques in the country that are claimed to have been built over former temples. There is no alternative left but to liberate Hindu temples. |
