Ayodhya: The 70-acre area of Shriram Temple will shine with one and a half lakh lamps !

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) — This year’s Diwali festival is set to be remarkable in many ways. The Shriram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to celebrate Diwali on an even grander and wider scale than before. For the first time, the entire 70-acre magnificent premises of Shriram Temple will be illuminated. On 19th October at 5:30 p.m., the area of approximately 4 kilo meters surrounding the temple will glow with the light of 1.5 lakh (150,000) lamps. The first phase of temple construction is almost complete, along with several new initiatives. In this context, the decision has been made to expand the Diwali celebrations. Shriram Temple trustee Dr. Anil Mishra recently held a meeting and assigned various service responsibilities to volunteers.

Guinness World Records team arrives in Ayodhya !

A 30-member team from the Guinness Book of World Records has recently arrived in Ayodhya. The team’s advisor, Nischal Barot said that two world records will be established this year. New volunteers are being trained and each is being assigned responsibility for different ghats (riverfronts).

Ramayan in the sky through 1,100 indigenous drones

The lighting of around 26 lakh (2.6 million) lamps across 56 ghats, including Ram ki Paidi, will symbolize devotion and joy. A synchronized drone show and 3D laser-music presentation will also be showcased. The Tourism Department has decided to keep this drone and laser show open to the public on 18th and 19th October. Using 1,100 indigenous drones, various scenes from the Ramayan will be depicted in the sky.
