Curtain placed between male students and Muslim female students during seminar in a Kerala college

Kasaragod (Kerala) – During a seminar at a college here, a curtain was placed to separate male students from Muslim female students while discussing the topic of Gaza. The Muslim girls, wearing hijabs, were made to sit behind the curtain. A photograph of the event has gone viral, clearly showing the curtain dividing male and female students, while Islamic hardliner Dr Abdulla Basil CP was speaking on stage.

The seminar’s theme was ‘From Gaza to Science to Religion’. Dr Abdulla Basil is known for consistently supporting and promoting the hijab. Earlier, one of his videos had surfaced in which, when a girl spoke against the hijab, he silenced her with peculiar arguments.

Editorial Perspective

This situation in Kerala appears as though Sharia law has already been imposed. Such scenes are currently seen only in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. If someone says that the Communist-led Government in Kerala is running affairs in the same way, it would not be wrong !
