Karnataka Congress MLA Sangamesh’s statement ‘I want to be born as a Muslim in my next life’

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Muslim leader Sadiq Pasha criticised the statement ‘I want to be born as a Muslim in my next life’ of Congress MLA B.K. Sangamesh in Karnataka. He said that Muslims did not believe in reincarnation. If MLA Sangamesh had so much love for Muslims, he should convert to Islam by reciting the Kalma immediately without waiting for his next life. There was no need to play such a game to get votes. If he wanted to become a Muslim, he (Sangamesh) should come to him. He would convert him to Islam himself.
Sangamesh should change his name to ‘Sangmulla Khan’ – BJP

BJP leader K.S. Eshwarappa criticised Sangamesh’s statement and said that if Sangamesh wanted to become a Muslim, he need not wait for his next life. He should convert immediately and contest the elections by naming himself ‘Sangmullah Khan’. He further said that people voted for him because he is a ‘Hindu’.
