Europe Builds ‘Jupiter’ – A High-Speed Supercomputer

Europe’s attempt to advance in the field of Artificial Intelligence

Europe – To compete with the United States and China in the field of artificial intelligence, Europe has developed a high-speed supercomputer named ‘Jupiter’. This computer is 20 times more powerful than other existing computers, and its building cost exceeded 500 million euros (approximately ₹51,000 crore).

The ‘Jupiter’ supercomputer, Europe’s fastest and most advanced to date, was inaugurated in Germany. It is the continent’s first large-scale, ultra-fast computer and will be capable of predicting climate patterns for the next 10 years. Additionally, ‘Jupiter’ will also aid in research on diseases such as dementia.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that this supercomputer will help Europe progress in the field of artificial intelligence, keeping pace with the U.S. and China.
