Bengaluru (Karnataka) : Urdu letters replace Ashoka Chakra in the national flag during Eid programme

Urdu letters instead of the Ashoka Chakra on the national flag.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – A flag with Urdu text written instead of the Ashok Chakra on the Indian national flag was hoisted at an Eid event in the Anjanappa Garden area here. As soon as the officials of Chamarajanagar Police Station came to know about it, they removed the flag.

The Police are investigating the case to find out who hoisted the flag and what was the reason behind writing Urdu text instead of the Ashok Chakra.

This is the same programme in which Islamic religious leaders from abroad were to participate. Regarding this, Minister in the Karnataka Government, Zameer Ahmed, had said that the religious leaders from abroad will only participate in the conference. They will not deliver any religious sermons.

Editorial Perspective

Such acts repeatedly remind us that the loyalty of minorities is not to the nation, but to their religion. This is why Pakistan was created in 1947, but let’s not forget that people with this attitude still exist in India.
