Billboard Advertisement for a Housing Colony on the Road

Mira Road (Thane District) – An advertisement has been put up here announcing the construction of a housing colony designed for Muslims, promoting a “Halal lifestyle” (a lifestyle aligned with Islamic principles).
Local residents said, “Setting up a housing colony exclusively for one religion is wrong. This is being done in a planned manner. Putting up such advertisements in areas where people from two different communities live together is not appropriate.”
In Karjat (Raigad district), a colony named “Sukoon Empire” promoting a Halal lifestyle is already being developed. Against this backdrop, advertisements for a similar project in Mira Road have also been put up along the roadside.
Builders’ ClarificationThe builders claimed, “Only a space for offering Namaz will be provided here. No mosque or similar structure will be built. There is no other hidden motive behind developing this colony.” |
Editorial PerspectiveIf such colonies keep coming up everywhere, it won’t take long for India to turn into “Islamistan” ! |
