Pratap Simha added –
We do not ask Banu Mushtaq to wear a saree and Kumkum for the inauguration, but the question is, how can those who oppose applying Kumkum to Kannada Mata Bhuvaneshwari, come for Dasra inauguration ?
We consider Kaveri River as a goddess, yet we do not oppose when Muslims drink water from the river.
It is an insult, if those who hate our religious culture, arrive at our holy places for the inauguration.
Music, literature and art are the forms of God. However, in Christianity and Islam there is no unity in diversity. In other religions a woman is only an object for use. In our culture she is a goddess. It is an insult to our culture if a person like Banu Mushtaq comes for the Dasra inauguration.
