Meeting organised by ‘Equal Rights for Hindu’

Mumbai – Extensive research has been conducted on the cow in the past and will continue in the future. Deities and sages have also extolled the greatness of the cow. Revolutionary Mangal Pandey sacrificed his life because the British intended to use cow fat in rifle cartridges. In 1966, under the leadership of HH Karpatri Swamiji, many Saints and cow vigilantes laid down their lives during the cow protection movement. The Vedas state that not only those who slaughter cows but also those who support such acts incur sin. However, today, 70,000 to 80,000 cows are slaughtered every day. In 2014, India ranked ninth in beef exports; today, it ranks second after Brazil. Therefore, the cow should be declared the ‘Mother of the nation’ without delay, and measures should be taken to prohibit cow slaughter, ensure cow protection and restore the cow’s rightful reverence, appealed Pujya Kishorshastri Dave.
He was speaking at a meeting recently organised in Borivali by ‘Equal Rights for Hindu’. Former Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) M. Nageswara Rao, Rajkumar Jaju of Swasti Shri Triveni Foundation, and Advocate Shilpan Gavkar also addressed the gathering. The event was successfully organised by author and founder of ‘Equal Rights for Hindu’, Mrs Rati Hegde, along with her associates. A large number of cow vigilantes and devout Hindu attended the programme.
Hindu temples should be freed from Government control: M. Nageswara Rao, former Director, CBI
Former CBI Director M. Nageswara Rao presented a fact-finding report. He said, “India is becoming one of the leading exporters of meat, which suggests that the Government’s objective is to feed meat to people abroad. At present, around two lakh temples across the country are under Government control, whereas churches and mosques are not. Our temples must be freed.”
Everyone should come forward for the protection of the cows: Rajkumar Jaju, Swasti Shri Triveni Foundation
Sanatan Dharma is ancient. It has faced numerous invasions by the Mughals, the British and many others, yet it continues to endure. The British created divisions through the caste system. In earlier times, sages and seers enjoyed royal patronage, and kings maintained large herds of cows. Today, Gaumata is in distress. Everyone must come forward to protect cows.
Oppose the ‘Maharashtra Devasthan Inam Abolition Draft’: Advocate Shilpan Gavkar
The proposed ‘Maharashtra Devasthan Inam Abolition Draft 2026’ was recently put on hold by the Maharashtra Government. The Government took this decision after facing opposition from temple trustees and those associated with temple administration. The proposed law sought to take control of approximately 4,50,000 hectares of inam land belonging exclusively to Hindu temples, while granting complete exemption to institutions of other religions. The Government may introduce this proposal again in the future. Temple trustees and Hindu organisations must remain vigilant and strongly oppose any proposed law that seeks to deprive temples of their land.
