New Delhi – The Indo-US relations are strained due to the US President Donald Trump. In this background, Ajit Doval, India’s national security advisor recently visited Russia. Now, it has been learnt that External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar will be visiting Russia from 21.08.2025. After the USA raised tariffs on Indian imports to 50%, the relations between India and Russia are becoming stronger. EAM Jaishankar’s visit can be viewed from that angle.
Ajit Doval met different officers during his Russia visit and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin at Moscow. EAM Jaishankar will meet his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. It has been reported that Russian President Putin will be visiting India at the end of the year; therefore, it is stated to be for preparations for his visit.
