Public outrage over it being called “inadequate,” “annoying,” “terrible,” and for allowing fewer prompts!

Criticism of OpenAI’s ‘GPT-5 Model’ (Version)!

New York (USA) – OpenAI’s advanced GPT-5 model is facing heavy criticism. On the social media platform Reddit, people have sharply criticized the system, calling it “inadequate,” “annoying,” “terrible,” and one that “allows fewer prompts.” Although OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has praised this AI system as the world’s best for coding and writing, and it is currently available for free use, many users are calling it “not an upgrade to ChatGPT, but a downgrade.”

Altman has avoided directly responding to the negative feedback. He has firmly stated that GPT-5 is their smartest model yet, but that the main focus has been on practical usability, accessibility for the public, and affordability.

Accusations against ChatGPT:

1.  ChatGPT Plus subscribers (those paying about ₹2,000 per month) noticed the usage limits of GPT-5 within just one hour.

2.  The anger and suspicion grew because OpenAI shut down all previous models.

3.  Running large language models (LLMs – complex systems that study and analyze human language to generate answers) requires enormous resources. Critics allege OpenAI sacrificed efficiency in favor of higher output.

4.  It is claimed that this move was taken to help the company achieve its ambition of a $500 billion valuation.
