Enforcement Directorate’s chargesheet in a corruption matter

Gurugram (Haryana) – Robert Vadra, husband of Priyanka Vadra, Congress’s General Secretary and MP from Waynad, is accused of having received as a bribe 3.5 acres of land in Gurugram. Robert Vadra then sold this land at a price of ₹58 crore to a real estate agency called ‘DLF’. This is alleged in the chargesheet filed in the Court by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Vadra had given a cheque of ₹7,05,00,000 for the land in Gurugram’s Sector 83, but this cheque was never encashed. According to the Chargesheet, Vadra received benefits for being Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law. At that time, Haryana had a Congress Government.
‘ED’ has filed the Chargesheet on the 17th July 2025. It says that ‘Omkareshwar Properties Private Limited’ gave this land as a bribe to ‘Skylight Hospitality Private Limited’, such that its Director, Robert Vadra, uses his relationship with Bhupendra Singh Hooda, the then Minister of Town and Country Planning (Haryana), to get a Housing Licence for ‘Omkareshwar Properties’.
