Agra (Uttar Pradesh): Two Hindu sisters from Agra, who had fallen into the hands of a Muslim group involved in religious conversions, were rescued from a Muslim locality in Kolkata.

1.The two sisters were psychologically influenced by Muslim extremists. They were so deeply affected by the conversion group’s influence that they stopped their own parents from performing Hindu religious rituals at home.

2.According to the girls’ parents, the extremists first manipulated the elder daughter, followed by the younger one. The sisters then planned to run away from home and suddenly went missing in March. A police complaint was filed thereafter.

3.The two girls initially went to a mosque in Delhi, and from there, were sent to a madarasa. With the help of a Muslim woman named Zoya, they travelled via Bihar and eventually reached Kolkata.

4.In Kolkata, a person named Mohammad Ibrahim alias Reet Banik arranged a room for them in a Muslim locality. There, the girls began performing namaz five times a day and reading Islamic scriptures.

5.The girls were found by the police in Kolkata, but they refused to return home. They were firmly convinced that “Islam leads to Jannat (heaven).” After counseling by the police, they were eventually brought back.

6.So far, 10 accused individuals have been arrested across various states in connection with this case. The main mastermind, Abdul Rahman Qureshi, was arrested in Delhi.

7.There is suspicion that this conversion group has links with PFI (Popular Front of India), SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India), and Pakistan-based terrorist organizations. It is also reported that the group receives funding from Canada, the UAE, and the USA.

Editorial Perspective

Due to the lack of religious education among Hindus, they easily fall prey to false propaganda from other faiths. To change this situation, it is essential to provide education on Dharma to Hindus.
