Incident at Charkhi Dadri (Haryana)

Charkhi Dadri (Haryana) – The marriage of a Muslim youth Shahid and a Hindu girl Preeti in Maharana village has created a tense atmosphere in the village. In Patuwas village here, the people of the villages of Sanwal, Maharana and Patuwas organized a joint panchayat. This panchayat lasted for about 4 hours and the media, police and administrative officials were not allowed to enter it. It was decided in the panchayat that ‘no social contact will be maintained with Shahid’s family in all these three villages’. Due to the tense situation, police security was deployed in the village and the surrounding areas. On the other hand, the marriage of Shahid and Preeti has now ended. The divorce process is underway between them and an affidavit in this regard has also been submitted.
