Amritsar (Punjab) – Once again an e-mail has been received threatening to blow-up (Bomb) Shri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) at Amritsar. This is threat received on a third consecutive day. This email was addressed to the Administration of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Samiti (S.G.P.C). after this threat the security at the Shri Harmandir Sahib was increased and was at high alert.

1. Amritsar’s Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh speaking about the threat said that the cyber cell was investigating the email. And the accused will be arrested soon.

2. All the roads leading to Shri Harmandir Sahib have been secured and it has been made strict and high alert. All suspicious items and people are being searched.

3. After the threat the Border Security Force has also been brought on board along with the Police. The bomb squad and dog squad has been posted in entire area.
