
Beijing (China) – India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated in a post on X that “We emphasized the need to maintain positive momentum in India-China relations and to avoid complications between the two countries.” This statement followed his meeting with China’s Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting held in China.

Defence Minister Singh further said that “we had constructive discussions on various structural and future-oriented issues.” He also expressed his happiness to Dong Jun regarding the resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra after a gap of six years.
China also issued a statement in which it said that China does not wish to engage in conflict with India, and that its objective is to enhance dialogue and mutual trust.
