Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra –“At Shanishingnapur Temple, first gender discrimination happened, and now religious discrimination is happening. Some pro-Hindu organizations demanded that Muslim employees should not clean Hindu temples. Therefore, the board of trustees dismissed 167 employees. Out of them, 114 are Muslim employees. They should be reinstated,” demanded Trupti Desai, President of the ‘Bhumata Brigade’. “I will file a complaint with the Charity Commissioner against the temple trust. I will also meet the Chief Minister and ask him to look into this matter. I shall keep following up to reinstate the employees who have been dismissed,” she added. (It has been revealed many times in the past that the sole purpose behind Trupti Desai’s agitations is‘publicity’. Hindus feel that Desai, who has zero knowledge of Hindu Dharma, should not interfere in such matters – Editor).

Desai further said that the reason of irregularities given by the trust is completely false. If some Muslims are serving at Shanishingnapur, then it is a great example. Hindu Dharma is inclusive. Instead of saying, ‘Hindus are not employed at dargahs’, we should set an example saying,’employees of all religions are given opportunities in our Hindu temples’. (This stand is nothing bus suppression of Hindu Dharma in the name of inclusiveness. Desai should answer why Hindus are not allowed in dargahs. She must insist on inclusiveness in dargahs as well. She should also try for Muslim women’s entry into mosques – Editor).

What is the matter ?

The ‘BJP Spiritual Wing’ and other pro-Hindu organisations had taken an aggressive stance to dismiss Muslim employees working in the ‘Shanishinganapur Temple Trust’. Nationalist Congress Party MLA Sangram Jagtap was at the forefront of this. Ultimately, the trust dismissed 167 employees, including 114 Muslim employees.

Trupti Desai has never raised her voice for the appointment of people from other religions in Muslim or Christian places of worship. Then why is she forcing Hindu temples alone ?
