No evidence found of abetment to suicide in Sushant Singh Rajput case

CBI files ‘Closure Report’ in Court

Sushant Singh Rajput

Mumbai – After nearly 4 years, 6 months, and 15 days of investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted its final closure report in the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The agency informed the court that no evidence was found to suggest anyone had abetted or provoked his suicide.

(A ‘Closure Report’ is submitted when investigators do not find sufficient evidence to prove the accused committed a crime.)

In this case, actress Rhea Chakraborty had spent 27 days in jail. Following the CBI’s report, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde released a statement saying, “Many false narratives were spun in this case. Yet, Rhea and her family stayed silent and endured everything with dignity.”
