Muslim youth threatens Hindu girl in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh)

Kanpur (UP) – A Hindu girl of class 12 residing in Lalbangla here shared a video on social media about a boy named Altamash, who was harassing her for many days with threats to convert to Islam otherwise he would kill her and her family. She stated that Altamash stood outside her house every day and put pressure on her to get married. He tortured her when she refused. The brother-in-law of that girl student registered a case against the accused Altamash at the Jajmau police station in Kanpur.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pandey said, his team was conducting raids at various places to catch Altamash. He assured the brother-in-law of getting him arrested soon.

Can Muslims giving such threats ever be “unsafe” in India ? Why don’t the Samajwadi Party, Congress etc. speak about this ?
