New Delhi – The film “His Story of Itihaas” was released on May 30, shedding light on how history has been distorted in independent India. The movie is based on the true story of Neeraj Attri, a professor of physics.

In a short promo for the film, it is stated that “History is like a magician. A version of history has been imposed on us that never actually happened.” Examples cited include: Vasco da Gama discovered India, India gained independence solely through non- violence, brahmins came to India from outside, women and Shudras were not allowed to study the Vedas and more.

The film portrays how Neeraj Attri, while teaching physics, came to realize that the Indian system (NCERT) has been teaching students a distorted version of history. It highlights his fight against the system, how he used the Right to Information (RTI) Act to inquire about the sources used in history textbooks, and his overall struggle. Actor Subodh Bhave plays the role of Neeraj Attri, while the film is written and directed by Manpreet Singh Dhami and produced by Panchkarma Films.

Editorial Perspective

The distortion of Indian history in school textbooks is the biggest conspiracy of anti-Hindu ideological terrorism in independent India. This film exposes that conspiracy. Watching this film and showing it to your children is the religious and national duty of every Hindu.
