Hamas finally bows down to Israeli aggression, accepts ceasefire

Accepted the ceasefire proposal put forward by the US

Gaza – The Palestinian terrorist organisation Hamas has accepted the US proposal for a ceasefire. Steve Witkoff, the special representative of US President Donald Trump, presented the proposal. The new proposal includes the release of 10 Israeli hostages and a 70-day ceasefire. The proposal also includes a clause for Israel to release several Palestinian prisoners. There has been no immediate comment from Israel on the proposal.

Earlier, on 19th January 2025, a ceasefire was reached between Israel and Hamas. However, two months later, on 18th March 2025, Israel launched a missile attack on Palestine. Since then, more than 2,000 people have been killed in Gaza.

More than 55,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in the Israel-Hamas war that began on 7th October 2023. Israel had previously said that the attacks would continue until Hamas was destroyed.
