Sheikh Hasina criticizes the US for the first time

New Delhi – “Mohammad Yunus, advisor to the interim Government in Bangladesh, has come to power with the help of terrorists. Those who have been banned from various international platforms, from whom we protected the people of Bangladesh, were released. We took strict action immediately after a terrorist attack. Many were arrested. Now the prisons are empty. Yunus released all of them. Now Bangladesh is ruled by the same terrorists. Yunus sold Bangladesh to the USA,” criticized former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a Facebook post. Sheikh Hasina is currently living in New Delhi.

Mujibur assassinated for not giving St. Martin’s Island to the US

Sheikh Hasina further said in the post that when the US wanted Bangladesh’s St. Martin’s Island, my father Mujibur Rahman did not agree with it. He gave his life for this island, and it was my destiny; because the thought of selling the country to stay in power never crossed my mind. No one can think of giving even an inch of land to anyone of the country whose people took up arms on the call of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, fought and sacrificed their lives to free 3 million people; but look at how ironic the situation has become today! Today, such a person came to power in Bangladesh, whom the people of the entire country love very much, whom the world loves, and today what has happened to that person after he (Muhammad Yunus) came to power?

What is the St. Martin’s Island case ?

St. Martin’s Island is located in the northeastern part of Bay of Bengal in Bangladesh. It has an area of only 3 sq. km, and a population of 10,000. It is considered an ideal location for a military base. This is why the United States has been constantly demanding this island from Bangladesh. This was the reason behind the uprising in Bangladesh in 1975, and reportedly, this island was behind the overthrowing of Sheikh Hasina’s Government. It is alleged that the US was behind the overthrowing of the Government on both occasions.
