India bans imports and exports with Pakistan

New DelhiIndia has completely stopped imports and exports with Pakistan. The Union Ministry of Commerce has taken this decision. Accordingly, no material from Pakistan will come to India until further orders, and no goods manufactured in Pakistan or related to Pakistan will come to India. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified that if there is a need for import, it will be necessary to take special approval from the Government of India.

Trade relations between India and Pakistan are limited; however, the two countries import and export some goods to each other. Pakistan exports dry fruits, watermelons, cement, and rock salt to India, while it imports stone, limestone, optical components for spectacles, cotton, steel, organic chemicals, metal compounds, and leather goods from India.
