Mumbai – Party worker Chandrakant Dhotre, who was staying at AkashwaniMLA’s residence in Mumbai, died of a heart attack at 12.30 am. Unavailability of an ambulance on time caused the death of the patient, his relatives alleged. However, they did not file a complaint. Chandrakant Dhotre was a party worker of Vijaykumar Deshmukh, BJP MLA from Solapur.
Dhotre, who was in Mumbai for a meeting, was staying in Deshmukh’s room number 408 at AkashwaniMLA residence. An ambulance was called immediately after Dhotre suffered a heart attack. But it did not arrive on time and eventually the relatives called the police, after which the patient was taken to the hospital in a police vehicle; However, he died before treatment.
Editorial PerspectiveIt is a shame for an advanced city like Mumbai that the ambulance does not arrive on time ! If such a thing is happening in the MLA’s residence, then it is better not to think about the situation that ordinary patients have to face ! |
