
Solapur, Maharashtra – The Rotary Club of Solapur North presented the prestigious ‘Vocational Excellence Awards 2025’ to individuals in Solapur who have excelled in the fields of business and employment while also contributing to social work. The award included a shawl, a shriphal (coconut), and a memento. Among the 6 awardees was Dr Vijay Anant Athavale, Principal of Walchand Institute of Technology. The awards were presented by Sudhir Khiradkar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Solapur. Dr Janhvi Makhija, President of the Rotary Club, and Sunil Davda, Director, were also present on the occasion.

“After self-improvement, we owe it to society. Once we fulfil our social responsibilities, society recognizes and honours us with awards — this is our trueidentity,” said Assistant Police Commissioner Khiradkar while addressing the gathering.
On behalf of all the award winners, Principal Dr Vijay Athavale expressed his gratitude and thanked the Rotary Club for the honour.
