Karnataka Congress MLA Pradeep Eshwar threatens BJP activists from the stage during an event

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – During a public event, Karnataka Congress MLA Pradeep Eshwar threatened BJP activists in attendance, saying, “Listen, this is Siddaramaiah’s event, not your father’s. So, sit quietly or leave.” The incident took place during the 299thbirth anniversary celebration of ‘Kaivara Tataiah Yoginarayana Yatindra’ at Ravindra Kala Kshetra in Bengaluru. BJP MP PC Mohan was also present on the stage when the altercation occurred. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing a heated exchange between the two leaders.

2. BJP MP P.C. Mohan, who was seated on the stage, intervened, and directly asked, “Pradeep Eshwarji, if this is Siddaramaiah’s event, should I, as a BJP MP, stay here or not? Answer me!”

3. The exchange caused significant tension during the program. The situation was eventually defused by the intervention of citizens and event organisers.

4. Despite the intervention, Pradeep Eshwar remained defiant. He criticised the BJP, stating, “If you can praise your party, why shouldn’t we praise ours?”

5. Reports indicate that the clash started after BJP MP PC Mohan praised his party’s contributions. Pradeep Eshwar, objecting to the event being used for political promotion, left the program abruptly.
