‘A creative mind can be developed only through spiritual roots’ : Ravindra Prabhudesai, MD, Pitambari Group of Industries

‘Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth’ awards D.Litt to Ravindra Prabhudesai

Pune – If industry and academics work together, we can progress better. Marketing gives a boost to the industry. As important as IQ (intelligence quotient) and EQ (emotional quotient) are, the spiritual quotient is also important. I received guidance from Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Athawale, founder of Sanatan Sanstha, in this regard. According to his guidance, a person’s intellect becomes pure and more creative though spiritual practice, which gives him the power to come up with innovative ideas to work for the society and implement them. It is with his grace that I have guided entrepreneurs in many places like Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. I express my gratitude at the feet of Gurudev. I promise that I will use this honour that I have received, for the welfare of the society,” said Ravindra Prabhudesai, Managing Director of Pitambari Group of Industries.

Ravindra Prabhudesai was honoured with the degree of ‘Vidyanidhi’ (D.Litt) on behalf of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. He was speaking at the time.

The award was presented by Chancellor Dr Deepak Tilak at the 42^nd convocation ceremony of ‘Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth’. The letters of honour were also read out on this occasion.

On this occasion, renowned psychiatrist and actor Dr Mohan Agashe, as well as Sulajja Firodia-Motwani, Executive Director of ‘Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd.’were also honoured with the degree of D.Litt.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mohan Agashe said, ‘Not only intellect and academic quality are important, but mental balance and sensitivity are also important.’ He expressed happiness about the various skill development courses being run by Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth.

Sulajja Firodia-Motwani said, “We are working to promote ‘electric mobility’ while doing business based on the principles of patriotism and self-reliance. Our resolve is to provide eco-friendly, green and economical vehicles.”

At the beginning of the programme, the Dean of the University, Savita Sathe, brought the sacred ‘maanadanda’ to the venue. After this, the students who received Ph.D. and gold medals in various fields were felicitated by the Chancellor, Dr. Deepak Tilak.
