Mumbai – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s descendant and BJP MP Udayanraje Bhosale demanded in a press conference that a special law should be passed against those who make inappropriate statements about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
He further said,
1. This law should be made so that no one should dare to repeat anything. No one should dare to utter abusive words about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rajmata Jijau. For this, a law on non-bailable offences should be made.
2. This law should have a provision that there should be a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum fine. Such incidents should be investigated by Deputy Superintendents of Police. The charge sheet in such a case should be filed within at least 30 days and the verdict of this crime should be announced within 6 months.
3. I am demanding on behalf of the people of Maharashtra that the Maharashtra Government should pass this special law in this session. This law needs to be passed to avoid chaos. There is a ruckus in the House on this issue as well. Hence, the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers should pass a law to stop this ruckus.
4. If the law is not passed, the people of Maharashtra will not forgive you.
