Broken seat in Air-India flight for Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

The Union Minister Chouhan questions Air-India

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal (MP) – Union Minister for Agriculture, Shivraj Singh Chouhan got a worn-out seat in the Air India Bhopal to Delhi flight. He has raised questions regarding this. He has posted on X “when I took the seat in the flight, it had sunken cushion, and it was broken. It was painful to sit there. When I asked the crew why the seat was allotted when it was broken. They replied that the management was intimated in advance that the seat ticket should not be sold as the seat was broken. There are many more such seats which are in bad shape. My co-passengers offered a better seat, but I did not want to put them in trouble for my comfort. Will Air-India do something about it to avoid problem in future ? Or will they continue to exploit the helplessness of passengers just because they want to reach their destination quickly ?

Congress criticises the Union government.

The former President of Youth Congress Srinivas B. V. posted a message for Shivraj Singh Chouhan, that he did not realise the pain of millions of devotees when they could not even stand in the trains while travelling during Kumbha Mela. However, he is experiencing pain because of a broken seat in the flight.

Editorial Perspectives

  • This is how airlines are looting the people. Perhaps the Union Minister had to go through such experience, and he complained, so it might be noted. However, what is the situation with a common man ? Many citizens must be facing such situations but who will they complain to ?
  • We must also remember that these airline establishments looted the devotees during Maha Kumbha by increasing airfare out of proportion. At that time the Union government did not say a word to these airlines.
