Online sale of photos and videos of women bathing at Triveni Sangam

FIR registered against an Instagram account by the Police

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – During the Maha Kumbha at Triveni Sangam, it has come to light that photographs and videos of women devotees bathing and changing clothes are being secretly captured and sold online. The Uttar Pradesh Police have exposed this scandal, revealing that the images and videos were being sold through an Instagram account. An FIR has been registered against the said account. Several videos of women bathing were found uploaded on the account. The Police have sent an email to Instagram’s headquarters in California, seeking information about the account.

The first post on this account, featuring a girl’s photo, was made on 4.6.2024. Between 11.2.2025 and 16.2.2025, 33 videos were uploaded. All the videos show women either bathing at the Sangam or changing clothes. Such videos are being sold online for ₹1,900 to ₹4,000 each.
