Jaipur (Rajasthan) – While presenting Rajasthan’s 2025 state budget, Finance Minister Diya Kumari announced several key initiatives for religious tourism and temple development. The budget includes a provision of ₹3,000 per month for temple offerings (Naivedya) and a monthly honorarium of ₹7,000 for priests.

Under the pilgrimage scheme, 6,000 senior citizens will be provided air travel facilities, while 50,000 elderly citizens will be able to travel via air-conditioned trains.

To boost tourism, ₹975 crore will be allocated for developing religious sites and infrastructure. This includes ₹100 crore for the construction of a tribal tourism circuit, covering major sites like Mangarh Dham, Gotameshwar Temple, and other key locations.
The Rajasthan government has proposed a 15% increase in funding for cowsheds and Nandishalas, with the additional amount directed towards their development.
