India slams Pakistan again at UN Security Council

New York (US) – India slammed Pakistan at the UNSC -Pakistan has more than 20 UN banned terrorist organisations. It is supreme irony when Pakistan claims to be at the forefront in fighting with terrorism. India itself is a victim of Pakistan sponsored terrorism. Jaish-e-Mohammad, a terrorist organisation operating from Pakistan has carried out several terror attacks in India. The permanent representative of India Parvathneni Harish described Pakistan as ‘global hub of terrorism’. India retaliated when Pakistani deputy Prime Minister, Minister of foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar raised the Jammu-Kasmir issue in UNSC.

Indian ambassador P. Harish said,

1. No reason or purpose can be accepted for terrorism. Attacks on innocent people cannot be justified under any circumstances. Pakistan is spreading misinformation, but it cannot change the truth.

2. Terrorist organisations like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen have carried out many attacks in India. Pakistan supports them from across the border which leads to violence in India.

3. UNSC has a list of banned organisations which includes many Pakistani terrorist organisations and individuals. The UNSC’s sanction committeecan freeze their assets, ban arms supply to them and ban their travel.

4. Democracy in J&K is strong and spirited. Pakistan is just the opposite. They are trying to illegally control a few parts of J&K and the situation over there is pathetic.

Editorial Perspective

No matter how many times Pak is reprimanded it won’t change. As the saying goes ‘leopard can’t change its spots’. Pak will understand the language of weapons; unfortunately India is not showing the courage to do so.
