New Delhi – On 17thFebruary, early morning tremors were felt in New Delhi. The magnitude of the earthquake was 4 Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was 5 km. under the surface of the earth in Delhi itself. After the earthquake the Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people to remain calm, follow safety precautions and be alert for the possible shocks (aftershocks). He posted on X that the authorities were keeping a close watch on the situation.
