If everything is fine in Kashmir, then open all routes with Pakistan : Mehbooba Mufti

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti’s anti-national statement

Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) – “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah claim that everything is fine in Jammu & Kashmir. If that is true, then open all routes with Pakistan so they can come here and see how we live and what we have here,” demanded Mehbooba Mufti, the President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). (There is no need for them to physically visit Kashmir; a video can be created and shown to them instead. Mehbooba Mufti herself should take the initiative in this regard. In fact, Pakistanis have already begun protesting against their own Government in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after witnessing the current situation in Kashmir – Editor)

Mehbooba Mufti further stated, “the BJP is keeping the Jammu & Kashmir issue alive to garner votes across the country. If the issue of J&K suits the Pakistan Army, I think somewhere even the BJP hopes that there will be a blast or firing and someone is martyred so that they can create the Hindu-Muslim divide. The Jammu & Kashmir issue cannot be resolved until we sit together at the same table.”

Editorial Perspective

It is precisely because all routes with Pakistan have been closed that Kashmir has attained a certain degree of peace. Now, Mehbooba Mufti’s demand to reopen them clearly reveals her intention to destabilise Kashmir once again. For making such an anti-national demand, a case should be registered against her, and she should be imprisoned immediately.
