Today, the word ‘Sanatan’ has become prevalent everywhere. It is being heard at every step at the Maha Kumbha venue. Terms such as Sanatan Dharma, Sanatan Rashtra, Sanatan Sanskruti are the order of the day for all institutions, organisations, religious & spiritual organisations affiliated with Hindu Dharma. The word ‘Sanatan’ seems to be giving a new impetus to Hindus.
Thirty-four years ago in 1990, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale (Founder of Sanatan Sanstha) established an organisation and named it Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskriti Sanstha. He instilled in the minds of the general public the uniqueness of the word ‘Sanatan’. It is noteworthy that at that time, 34 years ago, the word ‘Sanatan’ was ridiculed and taken as something primitive or that which is not practised.
Even the one uttering this word was looked down upon. No one would use it much. It was then that Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale explained the true meaning of Sanatan to society. As a result, today ‘Sanatan’ is fast becoming an integral part of the life of Hindus. It is the firm belief of Sanatan’s seekers that Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, who planted the flag of Sanatan in the minds and hearts of Hindus, will also plant the flag of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ for the welfare of the people on this Earth !
Just as the importance of the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati is timeless, the importance of this Divine confluence of Sanatan, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale and Hindu Rashtra will remain for ages ! The Divine visit of His Spiritual Heirs to Prayagraj is a testament to this. No matter how much gratitude is expressed at the Holy feet of the three great Incarnate Gurus, it will not suffice !
