Attempt to Convert Hindus to Christianity in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)

Awakened Hindus protest and demand action

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)– Residents of Bharwara State Colony in Gomtinagar Extension have accused a man of attempting to convert Hindus to Christianity. The individual, identified as Rajiv Lal, has allegedly converted his own house into a church. (This is yet another example of how converted Hindus often become more zealous than the Pope himself. These converts retain their Hindu names, making it easier for them to facilitate conversions! – Editor) Every Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., 150 to 200 people gather at his house for prayers, during which conversions reportedly take place.

1. Ritesh Mishra, a neighbour of Rajiv Lal, has stated that Lal lures people with promises of houses and apartments in exchange for conversion.

2. Other locals allege that individuals visiting Rajiv’s house are settling members of a specific (Christian) community in the area. These individuals reportedly purchase vacant land at double the market rate, after which houses are built and allocated to new converts.

3. Residents of Bharwara State Colony claim that Rajiv Lal built his house 5-6 years ago, and within six months, these activities began. Those who convert receive houses or apartments, whereas those who refuse are pressured to sell their homes and leave the area.

4. After locals raised their voices, the police arrived at the scene, entered the house, and prevented over 50 individuals, including several young women, from being converted.

5. Hindus have warned that if proper action is not taken, they will remove the church in their own way and conduct ‘Sundarkand’ recitations from the Ramayan outside it every Sunday.

6. Hindus are demanding that these illegal activities, ongoing in their neighbourhood for the past 4-5 years, be immediately stopped.

Editorial Perspective

Hindus believe that such incidents should not occur in Uttar Pradesh which is ruled by a BJP-led government.
