
Prayagraj, February 2 nd – The ongoing Maha Kumbha, being held after 144 years, has drawn devotees from across the country and around the world. Among them is renowned actor Saurabh Raj Jain, who became a household name for portraying Shrikrushna in the 2014 television series Mahabharat. Expressing his deep spiritual connection with the event, he stated, “I am here to experience even a fraction of the profound contemplation and meditation that define spirituality. The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita are more relevant today than ever, offering invaluable wisdom for modern times.”
On January 31st, the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organized a special program titled ‘Gita-o-logy’, designed to explore the philosophy of the Gita through various experiments and discussions. Saurabh Raj Jain attended as the chief guest, sharing his insights on the timeless wisdom of the Gita. Following the event, he interacted with the media, emphasizing how the Maha Kumbha serves as a powerful reminder of India’s rich spiritual heritage. “Being part of this divine gathering is truly a blessing. There is so much to learn and absorb from the sacred scriptures and the environment here,” he remarked.
“I felt like Shrikrushna was with me!” – Saurabh Raj Jain
Reflecting on his portrayal of Shri Krishna in the 2014 television series Mahabharat, actor Saurabh Raj Jain shared a profound spiritual experience. “While playing the role, I often felt like Shri Krishna was with me. It felt as if I was merely an instrument, and He was the one truly enacting the role,” he said.
He further elaborated, “A person who realizes that ‘I am not the doer’ experiences a divine force working through them. This understanding deeply influenced me during the portrayal and continues to guide me in life.”
